Charity, charity, charity
Being the wonderfully considerate people that the Bear Dodgers are, we’ve decided to help out not one, but two charities. We were originally going to help out one but after we met them, it didn’t seem right to hold back the love. We’ve deliberately gone with two that are supportive of gents issues as lots of women’s charities seem to be getting more exposure.
So, first up, we have the Prostate Cancer Charity - www.prostate-cancer.org.uk. This is mainly because Cynan’s Dad is going through some serious treatment at the moment, plus David’s Uncle has already been through it. And now that we have the tie up, several friends have already mentioned relatives who have also had Prostate Cancer. They all seem to be coming out of the woodwork - guess we hadn’t really put much thought into it or asked the right questions until now!
Secondly, we have Bowel Cancer UK - http://www.bowelcanceruk.org.uk. We had no idea that it was the second biggest cancer killer in the UK so it deserves some support. Not everyone likes talking about the bowels, but Charlie has spent many years practicing toilet humour and is excited about the prospects of unleashing his ‘wit?’ on the unsuspecting.
We’ll be providing plenty of opportunities shortly for anyone to give them some cash!
